Mr. Lube provides automotive maintenance service for over 100 locations across Canada. Since initiating their franchise program, Mr. Lube has seen rapid expansion in the Canadian market and has evolved them from Canada’s largest quick lube brand to a complete automotive maintenance service provider.
Prairie Lube is a franchise network that owns multiple locations across Alberta and Saskatchewan. Before partnering with Mindfield, their recruitment practices lacked consistency and Store Managers at each of the locations were responsible for their own recruiting including sourcing, interviewing and hiring candidates. The majority of candidates were sourced through walk-in traffic at each location and there was no process in place to manage the marketing of open roles and the influx of resumes. In addition, there was no structured process around screening, interviewing candidates and measuring recruitment success.
Mindfield implemented their Full Cycle Recruitment solution for the franchise network to build a consistent and scalable recruitment process. This ensured that no matter which location a role was opened, there was a consistent process in place that drove in qualified and screened candidates based on the desired profile. The roles supported included front line upper and lower technicians, supervisors, assistant managers and store managers.
Mindfield’s solution provided both candidate sourcing and screening to ensure their jobs were strategically marketed to the right audience and that all candidates were screened for wage expectations, availability and organizational fit. Mindfield’s phone screening allowed for them to gain a further in-depth look at a candidate and assess whether they would align with the Mr. Lube brand. For every open role, Mindfield committed to sending two qualified candidates that were deemed as a best-fit. These candidates were then scheduled for in-person interviews at the Prairie Lube locations, further simplifying the process for all Hiring Managers.
Within the last year, Mindfield has sent 530 qualified candidates and has facilitated the hiring of 210 employees across the Prairie Lube franchise network.
